PK / Poly V Belt

PK / Poly V Belt (Multi-Ribbed Belt) is a high-performance transmission belt that combines the advantages of ordinary V-belts and flat belts, complying with GB/T 16588-2009 and ISO 9981/9982 standards. Its structure consists of a flat base belt and multiple equidistant longitudinal V-shaped ribs (the working surface is the rib side). The standard rib pitch of PK type is 3.56mm, and the rib angle is 40°.

1.Material: The main body is made of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) / neoprene rubber, the tensile layer is made of high-strength polyester / aramid cords, and the surface is covered with wear-resistant fabric.

2.Model Marking: Number of ribs + PK + effective length (e.g., 6PK1250 = 6 ribs, PK type, effective length 1250mm).

3.Core Positioning: A mainstream solution for medium-high speed, high torque, multi-shaft/snake-shaped transmission, and compact space scenarios.

l High Power Density & Compact Structure:

Under the same width, the transmitted power is 1.5~3 times that of ordinary V-belts, and the equipment volume can be reduced by 25%~30%.

l Excellent Flexibility & Adaptability to Small Pulleys:

The belt is thin and has good flexibility, which can run on pulleys with extremely small diameters (minimum 20~25mm for PK type), suitable for snake-shaped/multi-driven pulley transmission.

l Efficient & Stable Transmission: 

Large contact area and tight fit, with transmission efficiency of 95%~97%, low slip rate, accurate transmission ratio (up to 40:1), and extremely low vibration and noise.

l Long Service Life & Strong Weather Resistance:

EPDM material is resistant to -30℃~125℃, oil, ozone and aging. The service life is 60,000~100,000 km under automotive working conditions and 2000~4000 hours under industrial conditions.

l Maintenance-Free / Low Maintenance: 

The elongation rate of the cord is extremely small, and most automatic tensioning systems are maintenance-free for a long time; the single integrated structure avoids the matching problem of multi-belt sets.

Maintenance Tips

Inspection & Replacement Cycle

1. Automotive: Inspect every 30,000 km / 1500 operating hours; mandatory replacement every 60,000~100,000 km / 2500 operating hours.

2. Industrial: Routine inspection every 500 operating hours; replacement every 2000~4000 operating hours; shorten the cycle by 30% under heavy load, oil pollution or high temperature conditions.

3. Replacement Principle: Replace the entire set with the same specification; it is strictly prohibited to mix new and old belts or different models.

Tension Standards (Key Point)

1. Installation tension for new belts: 25~35N per rib; re-adjust once after 24~48 hours of operation.

2. Deflection inspection: Apply a load of 15~20N per rib at the midpoint, and the deflection shall be 1.0%~1.5% of the center distance.

3. Belt speed control: ≤30m/s (optimal 8~20m/s).

Environmental & Installation Requirements

1. Operating temperature: -30℃~125℃; avoid contact with engine oil, acid-base and coolant.

2. Installation: Do not pry the belt during installation; loosen the center distance to fit the belt, adjust and fasten it; ensure the pulley parallelism ≤0.006a and the groove surface is free of burrs and wear.

3. Protection: Install a protective cover; loosen the tension when parking for a long time.
