Narrow V-Belt is a high-performance transmission belt with a special V-shaped cross-section, which is narrower and lighter than traditional ordinary V-belts. In line with the ISO 15328 international standard, its top width is usually in the range of 10-25.5mm, featuring a high height-to-width ratio. It is made of high-quality chloroprene rubber (CR), EPDM or special synthetic rubber as the base material, reinforced with high-strength polyester, aramid or fiberglass cords, and the surface is covered with wear-resistant fabric. Widely used in automotive engines, motorcycles, industrial machinery (printing, packaging, plastic machinery), generators and HVAC systems, it is especially suitable for high-speed, high-power, narrow installation space scenarios, realizing efficient and energy-saving power transmission
l High Transmission Efficiency:
The optimized high height-to-width ratio design increases the contact pressure between the belt and the pulley groove, reduces slipping and energy loss, and the transmission efficiency can reach 95%-98%, which is superior to traditional ordinary V-belts. It adopts high-elastic and high-strength raw materials, further improving transmission efficiency and reducing energy waste.
l High Power Density & Compact Structure:
With narrow width and light weight, it can transmit higher power under the same installation space, saving equipment space and reducing the overall weight of the equipment. It is especially suitable for modern compact mechanical equipment, and can effectively reduce the weight of automotive and motorcycle equipment, improving fuel efficiency and driving performance.
l Strong Load-Bearing & Wear Resistance:
Reinforced with high-strength cords, it has excellent tensile strength and anti-deformation performance, can bear high torque and long-term high-speed operation, and is not easy to stretch or break. The special production process and wear-resistant fabric covering enhance its wear resistance and service life, adapting to long-term heavy-duty transmission scenarios.
l Low Noise & Stable Operation:
The V-shaped cross-section design ensures uniform contact with the pulley groove, reduces friction and meshing impact during operation, and the running noise is lower than that of ordinary V-belts. The stable transmission performance effectively reduces equipment vibration, improving the stability and service life of the whole equipment.

Maintenance Tips:
l Replacement Cycle: Replace every 45,000-75,000 km (for automotive and motorcycle applications) or 2000-3000 operating hours (for industrial equipment); shorten the cycle by 25% under high temperature, high load, frequent start-stop or oil-contaminated working conditions. When replacing, use the same specification model, and do not mix new and old belts.
l Tension Standard: The initial tension should be controlled at 20-28N/mm of belt width; for belts with center distance ≤ 750mm, the deflection should be 1.5%-2.0% of the center distance. For new belts, considering the initial elongation rate, re-tighten once after running for 2 hours under the allowable performance range. The appropriate tension can be checked by the method of rotating the belt 90 degrees with one hand, or the deflection S=0.016a (mm) when the external force W (76.4~101.9N) is applied vertically at the midpoint of the belt upper side.
l Environmental Requirements: Avoid long-term contact with engine oil, gasoline, coolant, acid, alkali and other corrosive substances to prevent rubber aging and cord corrosion; the recommended working temperature is -25℃~120℃, and avoid continuous operation at temperatures exceeding 130℃. Keep the belt and pulley groove clean and free of oil and impurities.
l Regular Inspection: Check the belt surface, cord and pulley groove every 800 operating hours; replace immediately if there are cracks, wear (exceeding 10%), cord exposure, rubber hardening or delamination. At the same time, check the parallelism of the pulley axis and the coincidence of the pulley groove symmetry plane, with the deviation β≤20’ and l≤1.6a/1000.
l Installation & Usage: When installing, loosen the motor fixing bolts and slide rail adjusting screws to reduce the center distance, and do not forcibly pry the belt into the pulley groove to avoid damaging the belt body. After installation and adjustment, fasten the motor connecting bolts and slide rail adjusting screws. Install a protective cover to ensure operation safety; loosen the belt when parking for a long time.
