PU TIMING BELT (Polyurethane Timing Belt) is a high-precision transmission belt with polyurethane (PU) as the base belt, embedded with high-strength steel wire rope core or aramid core, and with precise tooth profile on the surface, complying with GB/T 13575.3-2022 and ISO 5294 standards. Its tooth profile is precisely designed (common trapezoidal teeth and circular arc teeth). During transmission, it achieves slip-free and non-slip synchronous transmission through the meshing of teeth and pulley teeth, combining the wear resistance and oil resistance of polyurethane material with the accuracy of synchronous transmission. It is widely used in automatic equipment, precision machinery, electronic equipment, food machinery and other scenarios requiring high transmission accuracy.

l Precise Transmission, No Slip: The tooth profile meshes precisely with the pulley teeth, with a transmission ratio error ≤ 0.1%, no sliding or slipping, which can realize precise speed synchronization and position positioning, adapting to the transmission needs of precision equipment (such as automatic manipulators and printing machines).

l Wear Resistance, Weather Resistance and Long Service Life: Polyurethane material has excellent wear resistance, oil resistance and ozone resistance, not easy to age or deform; the nylon cloth covering on the tooth surface can further reduce wear and extend the service life, which can reach 2000-3000 hours under normal working conditions.

l Low Noise and Stable Operation: PU material is soft, with small impact and low noise during meshing transmission (operating noise ≤ 65dB), no mechanical friction noise, suitable for scenarios with high noise requirements (such as electronic equipment and medical equipment).

l Light Weight and Easy Installation: Compared with rubber timing belts, PU timing belts are more than 30% lighter in weight, good in flexibility, and can be adapted to small-diameter pulleys (minimum pulley diameter ≥ 8mm). Installation and disassembly are convenient, without complex debugging.

l Strong Customization and Wide Adaptability: The tooth profile (trapezoidal teeth, circular arc teeth, double-sided teeth), effective length, width, and tensile layer material can be customized according to equipment requirements (steel wire rope core is suitable for high load, aramid core is suitable for low elongation), adapting to different working conditions.

Maintenance Tips

l Inspection & Replacement Cycle

1. Industrial Equipment: Routine inspection every 300 operating hours; replacement every 2000-3000 operating hours; shorten the cycle by 25% under harsh conditions (high temperature, high load, frequent start-stop, oil pollution or dust).

2. Precision Equipment (electronic/medical equipment): Routine inspection every 200 operating hours; replacement every 1500-2500 operating hours; replace immediately if tooth wear or core exposure is found.

3. Replacement Principle: Replace with the same model and specification; it is strictly prohibited to mix belts of different tooth profiles, pitches or materials; when replacing, check and clean the pulley teeth at the same time.

l Tension Standards (Key Point)

1. Installation Tension: 18-28 N per 10mm width; for new belts, re-adjust the tension once after 24-48 hours of operation to compensate for initial elongation.

2. Deflection Inspection: Apply a load of 10-16 N per 10mm width at the midpoint of the belt, and the deflection shall be 1.0%-1.5% of the center distance; excessive tension will accelerate belt wear, and insufficient tension will cause tooth skipping.

3. Belt Speed Control: Maximum speed ≤ 30 m/s, optimal speed 8-20 m/s; avoid excessive speed leading to PU material softening and tooth deformation.
